How mature is your workforce planning?
Answer eight questions about how your organization plans its people: the link to strategy, forecasting, costing options, AI and ownership. You'll get a score from 1 to 5, your strongest area, the one to improve first, and a score card you can share. Your answers stay in your browser.
The five levels.
1 · Reactive. Hiring happens when someone resigns or a manager asks. 2 · Emerging. There is a headcount budget, but it isn't tied to what the business is trying to do. 3 · Defined. Headcount follows business drivers for most functions. 4 · Integrated. Business, finance and HR own the plan together, cost the options and review them quarterly. 5 · Strategic. The plan moves with the strategy, runs in scenarios and includes how AI changes the work.
In our experience, many organizations sit between levels 2 and 3, and the move up rarely needs new software. It needs a clearer link to the business plan, an honest view of supply, and options costed side by side.

How is the maturity level calculated?
Each of the eight questions is scored from 1 to 5. Your result is the average, and the level (Reactive, Emerging, Defined, Integrated or Strategic) is that average rounded to the nearest whole number. Your lowest-scoring area becomes the recommended next focus.
Who is it for?
CEOs, CFOs, CHROs, HR and finance leaders, workforce planners and consultants who want a quick, honest read on how their organization plans its people.
Is this a formal assessment?
No. It is a self-assessment to start a conversation and point you to useful next steps. It is not a benchmark against other organizations and makes no claims about your results.
